The beach Makrygiali, a little outside Igoumenitsa and as a quiet continuation of the long coastline of Drepano, is one of the most reliable choices in the area for a relaxing swim and a comfortable stay by the sea. With Fine sand and Very shallow, clear waters, it is ideally suited for families with children, but also for those who want «space» without intensity, with room for play, lounging, and walking along the coast. In several places you will find Canteens and seasonal provisions (umbrellas/sunbeds in places), while Makrigialos overall retains a calmer character, with the feeling of a nearby escape that doesn't require a long journey.
