From Drepano and Makrigiali, north of Igoumenitsa, to the shores of Plataria, the lace-like coastlines of Syvota and the impressive beaches of Perdika, the Municipality of Igoumenitsa boasts over 25 beaches along an approximately 104-kilometre coastline, offering countless options for every visitor. Some, with shallow and calm waters, are ideal for families and young children, while others, with beach bars, music, water sports and a lively summer atmosphere, are favourite meeting spots for young people. Most of the popular and easily accessible shores are organised with sunbeds, umbrellas, dining areas and facilities for swimmers, but there are also small, quiet coves and isolated beaches that can only be reached by sea. From Mega Ammos, Mikri Ammos, Zavia, Bella Vraka and the exotic Piscina of Syvota, to Agia Paraskevi, Sofas, Mega Drafi, Arilla and the imposing Karavostasi of Perdika, the crystal-clear waters and unique shades of blue and turquoise create scenes reminiscent of an exotic destination.
